Arkwright Scholarships Awarded
The Arkwright Scholarships Trust has conducted its annual award of prestigious 6th Form Scholarships to future leaders of the engineering profession in ceremonies in London and Edinburgh. Arkwright Engineering Scholarships act as a beacon to the most talented STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) students in UK schools and help to ensure that high–potential young people stay engaged in the engineering careers pipeline, in the critical 16 to 18 age range.
St Louis Grammar School Kilkeel student, Caitlin Sands, was awarded the Caldwell Consulting Arkwright Engineering Scholarship; this will provide Caitlin with financial and academic support as she continues her studies. A record equaling 29% of scholars were female and we are delighted that Caitlin is helping to raise the profile and increase the potential uptake of women in the engineering profession.
Since 1991, Arkwright has awarded 4,567 Engineering Scholarships and Caldwell are proud to be a part of this fantastic program for high–potential students.
