Caldwell working with Graham and BDP created a truly environmental pioneering office complex design to house 240 staff, along with back of house activities, conference and meeting space. The building won the British Council for Office BCO most sustainable building in 2011. The building was specifically modeled and orientated to maximize passive solar design, and thermal CFD simulation of BMS controlled natural ventilation and night time cooling. Primary heating is provided by an on site biomass boiler and fuel store. Caldwell have also been involved since completion for seasonal commissioning roles, and on going analysis including as part of the TSB (now Innovate UK) innovation study on the buildings operation completing in 2014.
