Belfast Boys Model School
This CEF award winning project involved the construction of a new £27m, 14,500m2 school on the existing site of the Boys Model School. The project involved extensive phasing works to facilitate the exacting requirement that the existing school remained live for teaching and examinations throughout the construction period. The School also featured extensive integrated community facilities such as an electronic village hall and a youth club. The project further included the construction of a new school and community use track and field sports facility within walking distance of the school featuring an athletics track, rugby and football pitches, a fully flood lit synthetic pitch and associated office and changing facilities.
The project achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating at completion
