Paradise Street – Oxford
Demolition of the existing disused Cooper Callas building to develop a 140–bedroom four–star hotel under the Courtyard by Marriott brand to also include a restaurant, deli and roof terrace.
The hotel will be arranged over six storeys and around a central courtyard.
The site is on the corner of Paradise Street and St Thomas’ Street in Central Oxford within close proximity to Oxford Castle.
The designs for the building mirror the brickwork and fenestration in the surrounding streets, and received approval from Historic England.
The proposed development is for the demolition of the existing Cooper Callas building at 15 paradise Street, to be replaced with a proposed 6 storey hotel development comprising a total 140 bedrooms with roof terrace and remedial works to the surrounding road.
